The outdoor venues of the Ludwigsburg Festival

The highlights in Wertheim, Bad Imnau and Bietigheim in July

This year, the Schlossfestspiele will once again live up to its mission as the festival of the whole of Baden-Württemberg. Exceptional music awaits you in Wertheim, Bad Imnau and Bietigheim.

On Saturday, July 1 at 8 p.m., the Ludwigsburg Festival are going to Wertheim with the Polish Klezmer trio KROKE: Accordion, viola and double bass sounds  on one of the largest historic stone castles in southern Germany. From melodic avant-garde and oriental klezmer to meditative bebop, they play songs from their album »Loud Silence«, released in 2022, and show the whole range of the typical KROKE sound in good weather at the castle Wertheim (in case of bad weather in the Stiftskirche). Tickets and further information: Klezmer Trio Kroke

Eight days later you can experience the music of three icons of western musical history in the Fürstensaal in Bad Imnau. On Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m., the five-member ensemble Spark invites you to a multi-faceted sound journey that combines classical, modern and pop in an innovative and rousing way. With Johann Sebastian Bach, Luciano Berio and the Beatles, the »classical band« shines across all genre boundaries and plays at the highest level on some forty different flutes, among others. Tickets and further information: Bach Berio Beatles

The journey of the Ludwigsburg Festival continues to the neighboring town of Bietigheim-Bissingen. There, on Sunday, July 16 at 7 p.m., the vision string quartet and guitarist Mahan Mirarab will delight the audience with their musical range between jazz, pop and classical music. The program stands for great creative and innovative potential that arises between artists* from different nations. Beyond all borders, the musicians shape tonal languages, genres, rhythms and harmonies and wander between styles and worlds in the historic Alte Kelter Bietigheim.
