vision string quartet

Florian Willeitner (violin), Daniel Stoll (violin), Sander Stuart (viola), Leonard Disselhorst (violoncello)

From 2012 onwards, the vision string quartet has been promoting an exciting development of the international string quartet scene. The four musicians, who also see themselves as a band, move skillfully between the classical string quartet repertoire and their compositions from folk, pop, rock, funk and minimal music. They present their imaginative concert formats in concert halls such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Wigmore Hall London and at renowned festivals such as the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Lucerne Festival. Moving away from classical formats, the four musicians experiment with concerts in complete darkness and work with lighting designers to add further creative dimensions to their performances. The debut album, »memento«, released in 2020, was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK as best chamber music recording. The vision string quartet achieved further notable prizes and successes at major competitions such as the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Competition in Berlin and the International Concours de Génève.
