Thomas Dunford

Lutenist

Thomas Dunford found the lute at the age of nine. In 2006 he completed his instrumental studies at the Paris Conservatoire and continued his studies at the Schola Cantorum in Basel. Since then, he has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, festivals in Barcelona, Utrecht, Arc La Bataille, and other international venues. Dunford regularly works with early music ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, the Collegium Vocale Gent, Les Musiciens du Louvre, and the Ensemble Pygmalion. In addition to early music, he also devotes himself to jazz and chamber music projects and has collaborated with personalities such as Isabelle Faust, Anna Prohaska, Leonardo García Alarcón, and Philippe Herreweghe.
