Asmik Grigorian soprano

Lukas Geniušas piano

»I am here in the world to feel«, emphasizes Asmik Grigorian. The acclaimed soprano has been internationally renowned for her profoundly emotional interpretation style since her portrayal of »Salome« at the 2018 Salzburg Festival. She not only appropriates the roles; the characters become a part of herself. With this brilliant performance, she is imposing tragic female roles from Puccini, Verdi and Janáček operas. But she also knows how to fully explore the emotional spectrum of the vocal repertoire away from the grand opera stage: Asmik Grigorian and pianist Lukas Geniušas immerse themselves in the yearning songs, piano romances and preludes by Peter Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninov with equal expressiveness and depth.

Followed by Meet & Greet

The film »Fuoco Sacro - Suche nach dem heiligen Feuer des Gesangs«, which will be shown at SCALA Ludwigsburg on June 26, provides in-depth insights into Asmik Grigorian's stage life.
