Lukas Geniušas

Since graduating from the Chopin Music College in Moscow, the Russian-Lithuanian pianist Lukas Geniušas has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at numerous renowned venues around the world, including the Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra Warsaw. He has also performed at festivals such as the Rheingau Music Festival, the Ruhr Piano Festival, and the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival or worked with orchestras such as the Philharmonique de Radio France, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the Toronto Symphony. Geniušas won the silver medal at the International Chopin Competition in 2010 and the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015. Lukas Geniušas covers a broad repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music, but isparticularly interested in Russian Romantics such as Peter Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninov. With soprano Asmik Grigorian, he recorded songs by Rachmaninov on the CD »Dissonance« in 2022.
