Australian pianist Philip Mayers studied at the Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane as well as in Berlin and New York before his musical career took him permanently to Berlin. Since then he has worked regularly with the RIAS Kammerchor Berlin and the Rundfunkchor Berlin. In addition to his pianistic career, he is also active as a conductor, song accompanist, composer and in musical cabaret. Together with the singer Mary Carewe, he has performed with the program »Serious Cabaret« in the great houses of Europe, such as the Theâtre du Chatelet in Paris, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and at various festivals. Despite his extensive repertoire, he is considered a specialist in new music and has participated in well over 100 world premieres, with the realization of his opera »Trieste« together with the Kammeroper Berlin being one of his greatest successes.
