In addition to our established participatory formats »Generation Zukunft Musik« and »Mini Mal Mut«, we are offering several participatory projects in the 2024 season. »Wie klingt Heimat?« is particularly interesting for schools. The concert by the resident Mahler Chamber Orchestra revolves around the theme of home in terms of content and music and incorporates text and sound contributions by pupils from the region. Of course, anyone can listen to the Monday morning concert on 24 June.
At »In C Community«, interested parties aged 12 and over can gain an insight into Sasha Waltz's choreography »In C« during three-hour workshops and try out the 53 modular movement figures in a small group. The free workshops on 22/23 June will be led by Hrishikesh Pawar, Janna Kleinknecht and dancers from the Sasha Waltz & Guests company and do not require any previous dance experience!
You can sing along in Haigerloch at »Johannes Passion Bach«, without registration or a workshop: every ticket purchaser can sing along to the chorales of Bach's »St John Passion« from the audience – conducted and led by the Icelandic tenor Benedikt Kristjánsson, who will take on the remaining arias and recitatives. Thanks to our cooperation with Carus-Verlag, you will receive the sheet music free of charge with your ticket purchase, either to download or to collect from our ticket office. We also offer a sing-along shuttle that will take you from Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart to Haigerloch and provide you with an introduction to the work and a guided sing-in on the bus.
As with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, VOCES8 is also using its residency with us to turn its third concert into a participatory project. The British vocal ensemble is inviting singing enthusiasts to join the eight singers on stage as part of a project choir. This will be preceded by a rehearsal weekend on 13/14 July. Seats in the »VOCES8 Sing Along« project choir are limited and will be allocated after prior registration. Unfortunately we can no longer accept registrations for soprano and alto, but we have opened a waiting list for tenor and bass. This offer is free of charge. Regular tickets for the concert on 14 July are also available to listen to this great, community-building experience!
