Singer

Momo Djender considers himself a son of the Mediterranean. Born and raised in Algiers, the musician grew up with chaabi music, a traditional Algerian musical style that has its origins in Arabic-Andalusian music. While still young, he also discovered his love for soul, jazz and pop music. Living in Berlin since 1994, he works within a wide range of cultures and music. He has worked with Ramesh B. Weeratunga (Sri Lanka), Hussein Kili, Rhani Krija (Morocco), Eda Zari (Albania), Jocelyn B. Smith (USA), Hans Lüdemann, Mellow Mark, Klaus Doldinger (Germany), and the British musician, composer, and actor Sting, among others.
