Gaechinger Cantorey

Ensemble

The Gaechinger Cantorey combines a baroque orchestra and a hand-picked choir by forming a perfectly harmonised original sounding body. Under Hans-Christoph Rademann, director of the International Bach Academy Stuttgart, the ensemble has set itself the task of spreading a »Stuttgart Bach style« internationally. Two commissioned replicas of original instruments from Bach's legendary contemporary Gottfried Silbermann workshop serve as the tonal backbone. The Gaechinger Cantorey inspires with numerous performances at home and abroad also pursuing a busy recording schedule. Three hundred years after Johann Sebastian Bach took up his post as Thomaskantor in Leipzig, the Bach Academy and Gaechinger Cantorey are embarking on the »VISION.BACH« project and, with it, a representation of the first cantata year in concerts and CD productions.
