Vitali Alekseenok

Conductor

Vitali Alekseenok's work is multifaceted: he conducts concerts, operas, at festivals, and is also active as a juror, composer and, since 2021, as an author. The Belarusian has led the Abaco Orchestra since the 2017/18 season, has been chief conductor of the Monferrato Classic Orchestra in Italy since 2021/22 and became the new artistic director of the Kharkiv Music Fest in June 2021. He also holds a teaching position at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, works closely with Oksana Lyniv as an assistant and won first prize at the IX International »Arturo Toscanini« Conducting Competition in Parma in 2021. He has already conducted the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the Lucerne Festival Strings and the orchestras at the Theater an der Wien and the Bavarian State Opera, among others. He has been Kapellmeister of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf since the 2022/23 season and made his debut at La Scala in Milan in October 2022 to great acclaim.
