Born in Villa Maria, Argentina, Sol Gabetta received her training in Madrid, Basel and Berlin. Her artistic career has taken her to concert halls such as New York's Lincoln Center, London's Wigmore Hall and festivals in Verbier, Lucerne and Schwetzingen. In 2006, she founded the Solsberg Festival, in which she pursues her special affinity to chamber music as the artistic director. Sol Gabetta has received numerous awards for her artistic work, including the 2019 OPUS Klassik Award for Instrumentalist of the Year. In the course of the Beethoven Year, she has begun a tour with Beethoven's »Triple Concerto« together with Vilde Frang, Kristian Bezuidenhout and the Basel Chamber Orchestra under Giovanni Antonini's direction, which will be completed in 2022 due to corona.
