Quatuor Ébène
For over two decades, the Quatuor Ébène string quartet has thrilled its audiences with a varied repertoire, unbeatable perfection and friendly exchange. In January 2021, it followed the commission of the Munich University of Music and Theater to set up a string quartet class as part of the newly founded »Quatuor Ébène Academy«. It also performs a cycle in the Vienna Konzerthaus with the Belcea Quartet. In 2024, the award-winning quartet will start an exciting new season with a new member: Yuya Okamoto will enrich the sound as the new cellist in the spring. In a new constellation, they continue to perform chamber music concerts and concerts with the Luxembourg Philharmonic as the resident ensemble of the Philharmonie Luxembourg. As Quatuor en résidence à Radio France, the musicians will play three times in Paris this season. Other highlights include guest appearances at the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin Philharmonic, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
