Grabkapelle auf dem Württemberg

The mausoleum, which King Wilhelm I. of Württemberg had built after the death of his second wife Katharina Pavlovna, is situated on the Württemberg hill and offers an impressive view over Stuttgart. The perfect backdrop for special Schlossfestspiele events.

Public transportation

From Ludwigsburg: S4/S5 to STG Hauptbahnhof, change to S1 to Untertürkheim. Continue with bus 61 to the »Rotenberg« stop.


Shuttle buses

For the Voces8 concert on July 15, shuttle buses will run from the Untertürkheim S-Bahn stop to the »Rotenberger« turning area and from there further smaller shuttle buses to the next stop. From here it is about 200 meters uphill to the grave chapel.


Departure times Shuttle

Two buses run from Untertürkeim station (platform 4) every 15 minutes from 17:30 to 20:00. From the "Rotenberg" bus stop, a small bus runs to the burial chapel every 10-15 minutes from 17:30 to 20:15.


After the event, the buses return from 21:00 to 22:15.


Parking

We recommend traveling by public transport, as there is no parking available on site.


Gastronomy

On the day of the event, you are welcome to take advantage of the gastronomic offerings of the »Bistro 1819« directly at the foot of the sepulchral chapel.

The Grabkapelle itself is not barrier-free. The interior is only accessible via stairs (approx. 30 steps).
