Anja Bihlmaier is a conductor through and through. With her career aspirations already evident as a schoolchild, she has followed her path from the bottom up. Starting as a répétiteur at smaller opera houses, she worked to the top of the international concert business. As a conductor, she has been combining her artistic passion with the courage to take risks and excellent precision for many years and with great success. Her flourishing international opera and concert career has taken the charismatic artist across Europe to the USA and Asia. Anja Bihlmaier has been the Chief Conductor of the Residentie Orkest Den Haag since August 2021. Numerous debuts await her in the 2023/24 season, including with the hr-Sinfonieorchester, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra or at the Mozartwoche Salzburg.
