Schlossfestspiele Ludwigsburg

2023 we present Johann Sebastian Bach in all his facets. Learn more about his life, the diversity of his works and how this year’s artists will bring his music to the stage at the Ludwigsburg Festival from our dramaturge Maria-Luisa Villena Ossa.

From his violin sonatas, played by Midori on her 40th stage anniversary, the »Goldberg Variationen«, which pianist David Fray brings to the stage of the Ordenssaal, to cantatas and chorales, once on the 300th anniversary of his Leipzig inauguration by the Gaechinger Cantorey and Hans-Christoph Rademann in Ludwigsburg’s Schlosskirche, and extraordinarily performed by the lautten compagney and the Calmus Ensemble in Wolfegg. Surprising connections are also created by Elina Albach and the ensemble CONTINUUM with the B minor mass as »Missa Miniatura« and the classical band Spark in the juxtaposition of their three idols: »Bach Berio Beatles«.

All information about the concerts and tickets can be found in the calendar.
