Born in Tbilisi, Georgia Teona Jorbenadze made a name for herself in the art world as a screenwriter, producer, and director. Her successful film, television, and theatre projects also spread her social concerns beyond the country's borders. As founder of the artists' association ConceptArt and co-founder of the Iavnana Foundation, she organizes benefit-gala concerts – from Athens to Hamburg. In this context, she has also created over 100 charity TV marathons, in which renowned artists have used their talent to support social projects. Awards for disseminating Georgian music abroad – awarded by the Georgian media company Fortuna – have been as much a part of her career as collaborations with world-famous musicians.
