HOW TO GET THERE

What is the best way to get there?
We recommend traveling by public transport. Free shuttle buses run every 10-15 minutes from the Favoritepark and Freiberg S-Bahn stops and from Ludwigsburg station (bus platform 18), which will also take you back after the concert from 23:30 to 00:30.


How to get to Monrepos Open Air by public transport:
Take the S4 or S5 in the direction of Ludwigsburg and change to our free shuttle buses at the S-Bahn stops Favoritepark and Freiberg or Ludwigsburg station (bus platform 18). The shuttle buses run every 10-15 minutes from each of the above stops between 17:30 and 20:45 to the open-air site and back again after the concert from 23:30 to 0:30.


Can I park nearby?
The P+R parking lot on Reuteallee as well as parking spaces at the University of Education and the adjacent schools are available free of charge. Free shuttle buses run from the Pädagogische Hochschule bus stop. Parking is also possible at the Bärenwiese in Ludwigsburg city center (Friedrich-Ebert-Straße). Free shuttle buses also run from the bus stop at the Forum am Schlosspark. In dry weather, paid parking spaces (€5) are available directly opposite the entrance to Seeschloss Monrepos on the L1138. The shuttle buses run from each of the above stops between 17:30 and 20:45 to the open-air grounds and back again after the concert from 23:30 to 0:30.


How do I get home after the concert?
Shuttle buses are available from 23:30 to 00:30 to the S-Bahn stops Favoritepark and Freiberg as well as from Ludwigsburg train station.


WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

What am I not allowed to bring onto the premises?

For safety reasons, the following items are NOT permitted:

- All means of transportation with wheels, including all sizes of trolleys, bicycle trailers, suitcases, shopping or folding trolleys, folding trolleys, folding trolleys

- beer table sets, upholstered tables and garden tables – foldable camping tables are permitted

- Garden chairs and plastic chairs that cannot be folded up

Pavilion tents, sun and rain umbrellas

- Open fires, pyrotechnic objects, gas burners, barbecues and fondue fondue sets, garden torches, flame bowls, candlesticks and candles – Tea lights are also not permitted

- Dogs and other animals

- Drones


Folding camping chairs and tables may be used.

FOOD & DRINK

Food and drinks that you bring with you may only be consumed in the picnic area. The catering area on the grounds offers a wide range of on-site catering. You can pay here, as well as at the box office, in cash and by EC card.


I don’t have a picnic with me, can I get something to eat and drink on the grounds?

The Seeschlosshotel Monrepos offers food and drinks that ´´can be consumed in the catering and picnic area.


My picnic basket is ready, what can I take with me?

For the picnic, you can make yourself comfortable on a blanket with all the goodies. make yourself comfortable. Gas burners, barbecues and fondue sets are not allowed for safety reasons. If you want something warm to eat or something cold drink, you can get all sorts of things at the stands on the grounds. 


For safety reasons and so as not to restrict the other visitors, beer table sets are not permitted, (garden) tables, as well as (garden plastic) chairs that cannot be folded up, are not permitted.


How do I transport my picnic to the site?

Please pack a rucksack or basket with your picnic utensils.


All means of transportation with wheels such as all sizes of trolleys, bicycle trailers, suitcases, shopping, or folding trolleys are not permitted on the site for safety reasons but can be parked in the assembly tent next to the main entrance.


I don’t like sitting on the floor, can I bring a chair and table?

Foldable camping Camping tables and chairs may be brought along. For safety reasons and in order not to restrict the view of other visitors, beer table sets, (garden) tables, as well as (garden plastic) chairs that cannot be folded up, are not permitted.


Can I choose my seat?

You can choose your picnic spot within the signposted picnic zones. Please make sure that the escape routes are kept clear at all times. If you have booked a seat you will find your booked seat in the individual zones A - I.


How can I make myself comfortable in my picnic area?

We recommend that you bring a picnic blanket and, if necessary, cushions for a comfortable concert visit. Sun protection in the form of pavilion tents and umbrellas are not permitted. If it should rain, we will distribute rain ponchos on the grounds.

FIREWORK

When do the fireworks start?
The fireworks start at around 11 pm.


I love fireworks, can I set off a few rockets myself?

No! There is a professional team on site for the pyrotechnics, who will delight you with a fireworks display. Open fire, pyrotechnic gas burners, barbecue and fondue equipment, garden torches, flame bowls, candlesticks, and candles, including tea lights, are not permitted.

TICKETS

Can I still buy tickets at the box office?

Yes, you can still buy tickets at our box office at the main entrance from 5 pm, subject to availability. You can pay here, as well as in the catering area, in cash and by EC card.

WEATHER

What happens if the weather is bad?
If it rains, we distribute rain ponchos on the grounds. In the event of severe weather conditions, the event must be canceled for safety reasons.


Where can I find information if the weather forecast is bad on the day of the performance?

We are on-site with the German Weather Service and will keep you informed of any bad weather forecast on our website www.schlossfestspiele.de as well as on social media.

PHOTOGRAPHING

May I take photographs and film during the Monrepos Open Air?

Photography, video, and sound recordings of the event for commercial purposes are not permitted. Also, drones are not permitted for safety reasons. For your private photo album you may take pictures and post them under #ludwigsburgfestival also with us share them with us.

PETS

Can I bring my pet with me?

No, dogs and other animals are not allowed on the premises.

LOST & FOUND

I have lost something on the site – is there a Lost & Found?

At the information stand of the Ludwigsburg Festival next to the stage lost items are collected. If you only notice a loss after the event, you can report your loss to the ticket office of the Ludwigsburg Festival.
