In 2019, french pianist Alexandre Kantorow won the Grand Prix and Gold Medal at the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, aged just 22. Since then, he has worked with major conductors and orchestras around the world, including the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Royal Philharmonic London, Munich Philharmonic, and Staatskapelle Berlin. In addition, Kantorow gives solo recitals in Asia and Europe, which in the 2022/23 season includes Berlin, Vienna, London, Paris, Verbier, and Ludwigsburg. He studied with Pierre-Alain Volondat, Igor Lazko, Frank Braley, and Rena Shereshevskaya. A particular passion for the works of Johannes Brahms and Franz Liszt is evident in his recordings to date as an exclusive artist of BIS Records. There he last released a new recording of Camille Saint-Saëns' first two piano concertos in April 2022.
