Hille Perl

Hille Perl began playing the viola da gamba at the age of five – today, she is one of the most famous gambists of our time. She has devoted herself to 17th and 18th centuries music but also gets carried away into other areas, such as the electric viola da gamba. The multiple ECHO Klassik prize winner is active as a soloist, duo partner of the lutenist and composer Lee Santana, and with various ensembles such as the Trio Los Otros, the viol consort Sirius Viols and The Age of Passions. Hille Perl has already toured the world with her concerts. She also passionately devotes herself to teaching as a viol class professor at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. Her most recent releases include the project »Ballads within a dream« (2020) by and with Andreas Arend and Johann Sebastian Bach's »6 Flute Sonatas« (2019) with Michala Petri and Mahan Esfahani.
