In an interview with Jochen Sandig, Bettina Wagner-Bergelt, artistic director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, talks about Bausch’s works from the 1970s, which she made the subject of her directorship. She takes a detailed look at »Kontakthof«, which was »created at the height of her [Pina Bausch’s] time and aesthetic.« Beyond the levels of use of the music and a look into the future of the dance theatre, both agree on Pina Bausch being a master of observation. Her analyses and multi-layered depictions of humans relationships are not only timeless, sometimes even ahead of their time.
