Educationalist Katrin Ballandies is chair and spokeswoman of the Ludwigsburg multigeneration house and Grünbühl-Sonnenberg neighbourhood representative for social cohesion. Her team of volunteers and full-time workers organises a wide range of activities for all ages in the multigeneration house, based on the wishes and needs expressed in the neighbourhood. In conversations with guests and people from the neighbourhood, new ideas are realised, traditions maintained and knowledge imparted. The multigeneration house is open during the week from 7 am until 5 pm. The programme for evenings and weekends includes readings, arts and crafts, Fairtrade cookery, healthcare courses and the repair café.
