The founders of the PasParTouT theatre group first met in the early 1990s during a circus theatre project in Spain. Their shared interest in theatre and music led to the creation of the group Les Frites Foutues. Between 1995 and 2004, they developed several stage programs and two street theatre productions. Initially touring German cities mainly with their own mobile stage, they later shifted their focus to venues such as cabaret and theatre stages. Additionally, the group was part of the ensemble for the summer productions at Stadttheater Aalen for two years. In 2004, they renamed themselves PasParTouT and have since focused mainly on theatre in public spaces. The theatre group consists of freelance street performers who use their plays to transport passersby away from everyday life and, as they describe it, »into a parallel world full of wit, music, and charm«.
