After winning first prize at the International ARD Music Competition in Munich, Liya Wang quickly established herself as one of the most compelling new artists on the international stage. Her concert performances have taken her to some of the most prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, the Zhongshan Concert Hall, and the Shanghai Oriental Art Centre. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, and the China Youth Symphony Orchestra. She also gives regular solo recitals in China, Japan, Poland, Italy, and the United States. Liya Wang has won prizes at several international competitions, including the Pacific Rim International Piano Competition and the Vietnam International Piano Competition. She is currently studying at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing under the guidance of pianist and educator Manchun Chen and organist and harpsichordist Fanxiu Shen.
