The countertenor Leandro Marziotte is the winner of First Prize at the International Handel-Competition in Göttingen and is celebrated for his interpretations of the Baroque opera repertoire. He has performed numerous leading roles, including Ottone and Nerone in »Agrippina«, Arsamene in »Serse«, Fernando in »Rodrigo«, Hamor in »Jephtha«, the title role in »Orlando«, and Judas in Handel’s »Brockes Passion«, thus strengthening a career closely connected to Handel’s dramatic and vocal universe. Leandro Marziotte has featured on international stages such as the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Ópera de Bellas Artes in Mexico, Victoria Hall in Geneva, and the Maison Symphonique in Montréal. He collaborates with leading ensembles and conductors, including Cappella Mediterranea, Le Poème Harmonique, Il Gusto Barocco, Ensemble Caprice, Vincent Dumestre, and Jörg Halubeck. Among his more than 24 recordings, particular mention is deserved for the world premiere recording of the opera »Flavio Crispo« by Johann David Heinichen.
