Le Concert Olympique was established in 2010 by Jan Caeyers with a clear goal: to perform Beethoven and his contemporaries Haydn and Mozart at the highest standard. The deep vision of Beethoven’s music that Jan Caeyers outlined in his Beethoven biography comes to life with this orchestra and a unique concert experience. The 50 musicians from across Europe have performed in approximately 30 productions in well-known concert halls throughout Europe, including Brussels, Amsterdam, Vienna, Baden-Baden, and Berlin. The program emphasizes Beethoven in all his richness and complexity. Le Concert Olympique is committed not only to his compositions but also to scientific research, literature, films, lectures, and guest talks. 2027 marks the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death. Jan Caeyers and his orchestra will mark this with the project »Beethoven27«: from 2024 to 2027, along with pianist Kit Armstrong and the Arnold Schoenberg Choir from Vienna, they perform Beethoven’s 27 most significant works in 27 cities across the European Union.
