Since Kit Armstrong first appeared on the international stage almost twenty years ago, he has captivated the music world. Hailed by the New York Times as a »brilliant pianist«, Kit Armstrong has developed his own unique artistic signature. The versatile musician studied not only piano but also composition, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Armstrong collaborates with many of the most renowned conductors and artists, including Christian Thielemann, Herbert Blomstedt, Manfred Honeck, Renaud Capuçon, Christiane Karg, Julian Prégardien, and the Schumann Quartet. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. Recitals have taken him to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Ruhr Piano Festival, and the Philharmonie de Luxembourg, among others. In 2026, he will continue his programme »EXPEDITION MOZART«, in which he explores Mozart’s piano quartets with various string quartets, performs as a soloist in Tokyo and Beijing, and dedicates himself to Beethoven’s piano concertos with Le Concert Olympique and Jan Caeyers.
