Honoured as the »Discovery of Classical Music« in 2024, mezzo-soprano Juliette Mey not only impressed the jury of the Victoires de la Musique classique but also emerged as a prize-winner in renowned competitions such as Reine Elisabeth and Voix Nouvelles, as well as from the academies Le Jardin des Voix and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. She studied in Toulouse, Montpellier, and Paris with Léa Pasquel and Jeanne Piland, among others. On the opera stage, Mey has already performed as Amore and Valletto in »L’incoronazione di Poppea«, Isaura in »Tancredi«, and the title role in »La Cenerentola«, and has given concerts with Les Talens Lyriques, the Ricercar Consort, the Épopées, and the Cappella Mediterranea, among others. She also made her debut at the Salzburg Festival Whitsun and the Opéra de Paris, and undertook an international tour with Les Arts Florissants in a new production of Purcell’s »The Fairy Queen«. Last season, she made her debut as Siebel in »Faust« in Lille and Paris. In the 2025/26 season, she will again perform in »The Fairy Queen« and will play Rosina in »The Barber of Seville«, Cherubino in »The Marriage of Figaro«, and Lisinga in »Le Cinesi«.
