The soprano Jone Martínez graduated with a Bachelor’s in Pedagogy of Musical Language and Musical Education in Musikene, in San Sebastián, where she also completed her diploma in lyrical singing, receiving an award for the best academic record. As a soloist, she is in high demand by leading orchestras in Spain and is frequently invited to perform at numerous festivals and venues across Spain and Europe. Among her other engagements, she performed Pergolesi’s »Stabat Mater« with La Cetra Barockorchester, conducted by Andrea Marcon in Basel, and has performed with the Orquesta de Córdoba as well as with the Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla under the baton of Carlos Mena and Enrico Onofri. Jone Martínez takes on a wide range of roles, including Achille in Coccia’s »Ifigenia« and Euridice in Gluck’s »Orfeo ed Euridice«. She has also sung Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid and Bach’s St John Passion at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid. She has collaborated under the musical direction of conductors such as Alfredo Bernardini, Carlos Mena, Pablo González, and Guillermo García Calvo.
