Praised by the opera portal Ôlyrix for his »brilliant voice«, French tenor Abel Zamora has received numerous awards over the past three years: In 2023, he won the Grand Prix de la Mélodie Française at the OPUS ARTIS PARIS international competition, was a prize winner at Talents Adami Classique, and in 2024, he won the Prix d’Excellence des Maîtres du Chant and the Fonds Tutti. Zamora made his debut at the Opéra de Toulon in 2022 in »La Périchole« and appeared as an academician at the Opéra-Comique Paris in the 2023/24 season in Lully’s »Armide« and Stravinsky’s »Pulcinella«. He is also highly regarded in the Mozart repertoire, for example, for his performances as Tamino in »Die Zauberflöte«, Basilio in »Le Nozze di Figaro«, and Ottavio in »Don Giovanni«. His repertoire also includes Baroque operas, such as those by Antonio Satorius, and contemporary music theatre works, for example, by Franck Krawczyk. Abel Zamora is participating in the Nadia & Lili Boulanger programme of the Académie Philippe Jaroussky for the 2024/2025 season. In the summer of 2026, he will appear as Silango in Gluck’s »Le Cinesi«.
