Berlin-based DJ Femdelic, aka Marisa Ngakegny, is a true multi-artist. She was fascinated by vinyl records at a young age when she got her hands on her father's »Future Shock«-LP. Searching for an expression of dance and music that could be both healing and unifying, she found the breakdance and poppin' scene on the streets of Berlin. In 2008, she became a dancer and choreographer for the band »Laing«. In the duo »The Brides« with Funkarella, the two DJs made a name for themselves as funk ambassadors in Germany. Together, they established several funk parties in Berlin, including the »COOL WHIP« events, which took place from 2014 to 2020 with international bookings. Marisa is now travelling solo – most recently, she was in Denmark with her record case. Funk isn't just a genre for Femdelic - it's her essence, anchored in her DNA and pulsating through every record she plays. Seamlessly blending a myriad of electrifying flavours, she effortlessly navigates the realms of electro-boogie, the 80s, breakdance, modern funk styles, disco and house – pure funk magic.
