Jean-Guihen Queyras

Cellist

[This text has been translated electronically] Jean-Guihen Queyras' artistic work is characterized by curiosity and diversity. His understanding of interpretation was shaped by his long collaboration with Pierre Boulez. Queyras' repertoire ranges from early music to contemporary works by composers such as Ivan Fedele, Thomas Larcher and Péter Eötvös. He has performed internationally under Iván Fischer, Philippe Herreweghe and John Eliot Gardiner, among others. Queyras was a founding member of the Arcanto Quartett and forms a regular trio with Isabelle Faust and Alexander Melnikov. In the 2020/21 season, he will be artist in residence at Wigmore Hall London and with Radio France.
