The Dutch soprano Zinzi Frohwein studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague under Sasja Hunego and at the Dutch National Opera Academy. Engagements have taken her to renowned opera houses such as the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam, the Dutch Touring Opera, and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. As a member of the ensemble at Theater Nordhausen, Zinzi Frohwein achieved significant success in the roles of Desdemona in »Otello«, Blanche in »Dialogues des Carmélites«, Rosalinde in »Die Fledermaus«, Donna Anna in »Don Giovanni«, and the Countess in »Le nozze di Figaro«. She has also worked with conductors such as Pavel Baleff, Michael Helmrath, Daniel Klajner, Patrick Fournillier and Antonino Fogliani, as well as directors Katharina Thoma, Anette Leistenschneider, Ted Huffman, Zack Winokur, Wilma Sekrève, and Marcel Sijm. Since the 2025/26 season, Zinzi Frohwein has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Mannheim National Theater.
