With his distinctive voice, Zé Ibarra stands out from other artists: his successful career began as a singer, composer, pianist, and guitarist with the band Dônica from Rio de Janeiro. He quickly distinguishes himself within the group, among other things, thanks to his excellent command of falsetto, and won the 27th Prêmio da Música Brasileira in 2016. A few years later, the multi-artist founded the band Bala Desejo, with which he celebrated the new wave of Brazilian music and won a Latin Grammy. With his debut album »Marquês, 256«, Ibarra strengthened his artistic identity with an extraordinary sound that combines the classical influences of Brazilian music with new, experimental elements. With his second solo album, »AFIM«, Zé Ibarra moves away from the intimate, acoustic guitar-guided sound and explores a darker musicality and soundscapes that blend Música Popular Brasileira, jazz, and pop.
