Yael Kareth is a pianist, pedagogue, content creator, mother and in addition, she has been appointed Leibinger Professor of Transcultural Music Mediation and Pedagogy at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin. In her lecture-combined concerts, she creates intercultural connections between different artistic mediums and also focuses on mediating classical music content. She is a founding member of the Israeli Chamber Project, with which she had performed and taught regularly around Israel. She also has played in European tours of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Barenboim. As an enthusiastic Lied pianist and chamber musician, Kareth has performed with singers such as Thomas Hampson, Rinat Shaham and Waltraud Meier and has participated in numerous international chamber music festivals. These experiences strengthened her conviction to further consolidate the important role of music in society and politics. Kareth has also performed extensively as a soloist and orchestra pianist under conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Lahav Shani and Omer Meir Wellber.
