Robin Paillet is the winner of the First Prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2025, along with the Prize for the Interpretation of a Contemporary Work, the Audience Prize, and the Special Prize of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has established himself as one of the most promising trumpeters of his generation. Deeply committed to the concerto repertoire, he has been invited to perform as a soloist with several renowned ensembles, including the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Orchestre de Paris, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Collegium Musicum Basel, and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. He began studying trumpet at the Aix-les-Bains Conservatory at age five and continued his training at the Chambéry Conservatory before entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He furthered his studies with Reinhold Friedrich at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe and has won numerous awards, such as First Prizes at the Ellsworth Smith International Competition and the August Everding International Competition, as well as Second Prize at the Roger Voisin Competition.
