Miguel Ángel Corbacho joined the Compañía Andaluza de Danza under the direction of José Antonio in 1999. Five years later, he was hired as a solo dancer with the Ballet Nacional de España. For the creation and interpretation of the piece »XY un instante en movimiento« with original music by Lehonidas Boskovec, Miguel Ángel Corbacho won first prize for best choreography and the prize for music composition at the Madrid Choreography Competition in 2008. Since September 2012, Miguel Ángel Corbacho has been artistic director of the Entredos Ballet Español company alongside Elena Algado, choreographer of the production »Silencios rotos« and, since 2019, assistant director at the Ballet Nacional de España under the direction of Rubén Olmo. He is also part of La Veronal, a company that developed Afanador with Marcos Morau. In 2025, the group led by Marcos Morau received the award for best choreography at the Premios de la Crítica de Cataluña and the Premio Talía for best show dance for this piece.
