The multi-award-winning violinist Lisa Batiashvili is celebrated for her virtuosity. The German musician of Georgian heritage regularly works with top orchestras, conductors, and soloists worldwide, while also supporting emerging talent from her homeland through the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation, founded in 2021. Batiashvili also showcased her passion project »City Lights«, which gained international recognition, in Ludwigsburg in 2023. In 2025, she received the Kaiser Otto Prize from the City of Magdeburg for her dedication to combating war and anti-Semitism and for advocating for the European vision. She is scheduled to return to Ludwigsburg in the 2025/26 season. Additionally, she is touring with the Munich Philharmonic and the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and continuing her collaborations with Yannick Nézet-Séguin in Montréal and Philadelphia. Lisa Batiashvili is also involved in projects with the Filarmonica della Scala, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and numerous others. In chamber music, she will perform with Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Gautier Capuçon, Giorgi Gigashvili, and the Schumann Quartet this season.
