Julián Vat has been working as a musician and musical director since 1990 and has worked with great musicians such as Julio Bocca, Juan Carlos Copes, Miguel Ángel Zotto and Ana María Stekelman and performed as a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónia de Mar del Plata at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Vat has created more than 70 pieces of music for cinema, ballet and theatre and has also directed performances such as »Cabaret«, »Pingo Argentino«, »Tango de burdel salón y calle« and »Operatango« in Argentina and abroad. Together with Cacho Tirao, he recorded the CD »La Historia del Tango« and presented it in Europe and Argentina. His most important awards and recognitions include the Martín Fierro Award for his work in the fields of music theatre, film and television. Since 2000, Vat has been interpreting and conducting concerts for the Astor Piazzolla Foundation and bringing the music of the Argentinian maestro to international stages.
