Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn blends expressive musicality with technical skill across a diverse repertoire. She is popular with international concert audiences and has received numerous awards for her extensive recording catalog. Hahn has commissioned pieces from over 40 contemporary composers, including Steven Banks, Jennifer Higdon, Jessie Montgomery, and Carlos Simon. She has been honoured with awards such as the Avery Fisher Prize and the Herbert von Karajan Prize, and was named »Artist of the Year 2023« by Musical America. Hahn is a member oft he Juilliard School’s string faculty, having previously served as a visiting artist in the school’s music department. Recently, she has also served as the first artist-in-residence of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, artist-in-residence of the New York Philharmonic, and curating artist at the Dortmund Festival.
