With his deep musical understanding and confident artistic instinct, Christian Zacharias has established himself as a leading conductor and pianist worldwide. Numerous concerts, honours, and award-winning recordings highlight his extensive international career. Since 2021/22, Zacharias has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and Associate Conductor of the Orchestre National Auvergne Rhône-Alpes. His engagements have included performances with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, among others. As a soloist, he has appeared in Paris, London, Madrid, and Frankfurt, including at festivals such as the Schubertiade and Piano aux Jacobins. Through piano lectures, Christian Zacharias offers detailed insights into a variety of musical topics. His work has been recognised with awards including the Officier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, the Diapason d’Or de l’Année, and the ECHO KLASSIK.
