Celebrated as »the Carmen of her generation«, mezzo-soprano Aude Extrémo is renowned for her dark, rich timbre and captivating stage presence. She has established herself as a formidable force in the dramatic repertoire and has gained recognition as an exceptional Wagner singer, with roles including Fricka in »Die Walküre« and Brangäne in »Tristan und Isolde«. Her previous successes include roles such as Azucena in »Il trovatore« (Marseille), Judith in »Blaubarts Burg« (Dijon), Maddalena in »Rigoletto« and Suzuki in »Madama Butterfly« (Paris). As a prizewinner of the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris National Opera, Extrémo excels in the French repertoire, notably as Dalila in »Samson et Dalila«, Charlotte in »Werther« and Marguerite in »La damnation de Faust«. In the 2025/26 season, she will perform as Sélysette in »Ariane et Barbe-Bleue« at the Teatro Real and Yamina in »La Montagne Noire« at the Opéra National de Bordeaux. Aude Extrémo will also make her debut as Carmen at the Macau International Festival and sing the title role in »Orlando« on a tour with Les Musiciens du Louvre and Marc Minkowski in Paris, Valencia, Ludwigsburg, and Barcelona.
