Soprano Alicia Amo began her music studies in Donostia-San Sebastián, initially focusing on violin, classical percussion, and ballet, before pursuing vocal studies in Graz. In 2009, she moved to the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she graduated with distinction. Amo has won several prizes at international competitions, including in Manhattan and Granada, performed at the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris National Opera, and was a finalist in competitions in Tenerife, Aberdeen, and Clermont-Ferrand. She now performs as a soloist with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, B’Rock Orchestra, Orchestra di Camera di Lugano, and others, singing roles such as Susanna in Mozart’s »Le nozze di Figaro«, Aspasia in Gluck’s »Alceste«, Belinda in Purcell’s »Dido and Aeneas«, and Dalinda in Handel’s »Ariodante«, among others. She has performed in Paris, Innsbruck, Basel, Dresden, Madrid, and Versailles with René Jacobs, Andrea Marcon, and Raphaël Pichon, among others. Alicia Amo is also co-founder of the Musica Boscareccia ensemble and teaches historical singing at AIMAntiqua, the University of Murcia, and the Baroque Opera Studio in Burgos.
