Lyric bass Trevor Eliot Bowes was born in Victoria, Canada, and studied at the University of Toronto, the Banff Centre for the Arts, and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He is a former Britten Pears Young Artist and an alumnus of Barbara Hannigan’s Equilibrium Young Artists program. In the current season performances include Collatinus in »The Rape of Lucretia« with the English Touring Opera, Basilio in »Il barbiere di Siviglia« at Lyric Opera Ireland, and Argenio in »Imeneo« with the Cambridge Handel Opera Company. In Concert, Bowes has performed with the Ulster Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, and Les Musiciens du Louvre. He is a guest at venues such as the English National Opera and the Royal Ballet & Opera in London and performs with renowned orchestras, including the Munich Philharmonic, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. He also sings at festivals such as the London Handel Festival, the Toronto International Bach Festival, and the Aldeburgh Festival.
