French accordionist Rémi Briffault began performing on various stages across the folk music scene at an early age. Later, he sought to explore the classical accordion repertoire more deeply. Since then, Briffault has won numerous prizes at national and European competitions, including third place in the senior category at the prestigious Arrasate Mondragón Competition in Spain. In 2019, he also received the Daniel Dechico Prize for his Diplôme d’Études Musicales (DEM), which he completed with the highest honors. Briffault has collaborated with well-known composers, including Luis Naón, Bernard Cavanna, and Alex Nante. He is regularly invited to perform with ensembles such as the Orchestra of the Paris National Opera, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire de Paris, and the Chamber Orchestra of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. His recent performances include concerts in Argentina, the United States, Switzerland, Italy, and Hungary. In addition to his burgeoning career as a concert musician, Briffault is dedicated to teaching. He currently teaches at the Conservatoire Départemental de Pantin and the Conservatoire de Paris Claude Debussy.
