Under the artistic direction of Christoph Schweizer, the ChorForum Ludwigsburg – founded in 2016 – has established itself as an integral part of the cultural scene. A core group of 60 experienced singers forms the foundation of the choir’s work. About 40 project singers join them, bringing fresh musical ideas to the group. With the vocal ensemble, which was launched in 2024, the ChorForum has expanded its repertoire to include chamber music. The artistic spectrum ranges from large-scale oratorios and sacred works to challenging opera repertoire. Performances of Mozart’s »Requiem«, Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s »Elijah«, or opera concerts featuring excerpts from Wagner’s »Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg« attest to the choir’s stylistic versatility and high musical standards. Together with renowned vocal soloists and professional instrumental ensembles, including Sinfonia 02, ChorForum regularly performs in the Forum am Schlosspark in Ludwigsburg. In 2027, the ensemble will make its debut at the Ludwigsburg Festival.
