With her recently released album »Lost Pieces«, the South Korean singer, songwriter, and composer Youn Sun Nah embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. With this album, which she wrote and composed entirely herself, she celebrates her 25th anniversary as a musician. The recordings reflect her interest in a wide range of musical styles: intuitively, Youn Sun Nah combines seemingly incompatible indie-pop sensibilities with the vocabulary of free jazz and delicate touches of folk song. Her vocal style ranges from tender, subtle tones to explosive guttural sounds. Driven by the desire to lose herself in order to find herself again, Youn Sun Nah moves forward without a fixed path. But it is on stage that she truly feels at home, in a boundless space where music becomes an intimate dialogue with the audience. Each of her concerts thus becomes a unique experience, where gentleness and intensity interwine, as if she were singing directly into each listener´s ear.
