Nasmé means »a breath of air« in Arabic and brings together five inspiring Palestinian musicians who present their own interpretation of European works. They come from different parts of historic Palestine and, through their interaction, send a message of unity. They have succeeded in a collaboration that often seems impossible due to political restrictions: through the founding of the ensemble, they realised their dream of performing selected classical pieces before audiences throughout Europe. In 2025, the ensemble toured the Canary Islands and connected with the local Palestinian community. Nasmé also regularly performs at benefit concerts for Palestine, including events organised by Make Freedom Ring. In the coming season, the ensemble will be a guest at renowned venues and festivals, including the Cinema Teatro Chiasso, the Sala Rodrigo at Palau de la Música València, the Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin, and the Beethovenfest Bonn.
