Since 2018, director Nina Brazier has been a staff director at Oper Frankfurt, where she has directed Mozart’s »Ascanio in Alba«, Strauss’ »Ariadne auf Naxos«, and staged several revivals. She also curates and hosts opera podcasts, including OperaVisions’ »Next Generation« and »The Opera Pod«. Her world opera premieres include Alex Mills’ »Dear Marie Stopes«, Tom Randle’s »A Telephone Call«, and »The Winter’s Tale« with Kim Ashton & The Hermes Experiment. Her production of »Die Zauberflöte« for the Ryedale Festival and the double bill of »Spilt Milk« & »Trouble in Tahiti« at the Arcola Theatre in London were both highlighted as »Time Out Critics’ Choice«. Nina Brazier has also collaborated with the Internationale Bachakademie on »Acis and Galatea« for the Ludwigsburg Festival 2022. She has worked as a guest assistant director for various opera houses across Europe, including the Royal Ballet & Opera in London, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the English National Opera, and Opera North. Additionally, she has been involved with the Royal College of Music, the Italian Opera Summer School, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and Birkbeck University.
