Seong-Jin Cho gained international recognition in 2015 when he won first prize at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. In 2023, he was honoured with the prestigious Samsung Ho-Am Prize in the arts category, and in 2025, he received the OPUS KLASSIK award as Instrumentalist of the Year. The South Korean pianist collaborates with leading orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Concertgebouw Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra, and regularly performs with Myung-Whun Chung, Gustavo Dudamel, Andris Nelsons, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, among others. Last season, Cho was Artist-in-Residence with the Berlin Philharmonic. In the 2025/26 season, he will be featured in an Artist Portrait with the London Symphony Orchestra and will undertake various concert tours in Europe and Asia. Seong-Jin Cho has been an exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon since early 2016 and boasts a significant catalogue of successful recordings.
