Their music is characterised by the sound aesthetics and tradition of the top orchestras they also work with: Thilo Fechner, Daniel Ottensamer, and Ödön Rácz perform with the Vienna Philharmonic, while Stephan Koncz and Noah Bendix-Balgley play with the Berlin Philharmonic. Pianist Christoph Traxler and violinist Sebastian Gürtler complete the ensemble of musical explorers. Since 2017, they have been exciting the press and audiences alike in this combination, and in the following year, they won over the jury of the OPUS KLASSIK in the category »Classical Music Without Borders«. The programmes are limitless, as is the passion with which the seven musicians perform everything that is not usually part of the concert repertoire of their renowned orchestras. Whether it’s their own compositions, arrangements of pop songs and Viennese lieder, or classical composers from Tchaikovsky to Piazzolla: Philharmonix stands for entertaining, enjoyable, and clever concert programmes — all performed at a world-class standard.
